I had the excellent opportunity to speak with Doug Burris of Intronic Solutions yesterday. Doug heads a Kansas City Roundtable, but is really excited about the entry of KCRecruiting.com into the Kansas City market.
As for me, I'm pretty excited that companies out there are smart enough to put their jobs into RSS feeds. are you ready for this? Intronic Solutions posts their jobs as RSS. What this means is that contractors who use RSS readers (and technology contractors tend to be early adopters), now can take the job feed and stay abreast of current positions every day.
That's right. Intronic Solutions gets first crack at technology consultants and passive job-seekers because job-seekers can subscribe to the feed. While your recruiter is preparing a call list, or looking up e-mail addresses, the job-seeker is reading the freshest jobs available.
Why isn't every company doing this?
As a bonus, I want to check out Dataserv Solutions, which uses blogging software to power the News Section of their website. It's easily maintained, has its own RSS feed, and helps the SEO of the DataservSolution.com site.
Again, why isn't every company doing this?
