The Kansas City Recruiters Roundtable met Thursday to discuss Network Recruiting.
For the uninitiated, the Recruiters Roundtable is a group of Corporate and Consulting Recruiters that meets monthly from January through October to discuss recruiting issues.

Our network recruiting discussion uncovered a number of great ideas to reach new candidates.
Among the standard list of User Groups, Churches and Fishbowls at restaurants, we discussed finding Exercise Groups such as Running Groups, Bicycling Groups, etc.
There was also a short discussion of utilizing the local outsourcing companies and reaching out to companies that have recently hired candidates that are similar to what you are looking for.
I wonder this, we were all coming up with great ideas of places to network..the question is, how many of us are actually utilizing the power of our own personal network. Remember it is not the neighbor you know, it is everyone he knows that you need to link in to.
And speaking of...Linkedin has launched linked in jobs, that truly targets the linked in social network for jobs you are looking to fill. Cool, Huh?
