Mary Anne has been writing on the blog for some time - but it's more accurate to call it a website, as About.com hires writers for a number of topics, and she gets to chronicle the weekly happenings for her city. It's not a bad writing gig if you can get it.
Local is where everyone wants to be - and if you're looking for more than employment - this is the place to read. For me - Kansas City is a fun place I get to visit, as both my father and my wife's father live there. We've always been impressed with the architecture, and the city layout, and quite frankly, though smaller, we often think KC has a better shopping environment than St Louis (it has to do with all of the outdoor malls). Luckily, Mary Anne tells you where that shopping is located.
